Gene Hartway, Senior Pastor
Gene was raised in the church. His father is a pastor, now retired and living in Florida. At the age of 85, Gene’s dad continues to pastor part time at a small church in Homosassa. After a miraculous salvation encounter with God at the age of 13, Gene soon found himself powerless to live the righteous life God required. In frustration, he turned to the culture of the 1960’s. Fifteen years later, God’s grace came heavy upon him, and radically set him apart for the ministry.
Gene has been in pastoral ministry for more than twenty years. For seven years he was an Associate pastor at Nassau Christian Center, an Assemblies of God church in Princeton, NJ. Presently, he is the Senior Pastor of New Life Fellowship, a non-denominational congregation meeting in Bordentown, NJ. He is a graduate of Valley Forge Christian College and has taken graduate courses in counseling and biblical studies. The major emphasis of his ministry focuses on the preparation of the bride of Christ for personal renewal and revival, working with other pastor’s groups for reconciliation and unity, and restoration of the five-fold ministry to the church. You will often hear him ask, “What is God doing in our day and in our time?” Gene has traveled to Israel, South America and the Philippines.
Gene is a pastor at heart with a great passion for those who do not know the Lord. His wife, Mary Lou, is a very important part of his ministry. She is involved in many areas of the church and is an excellent speaker. Gene and Mary Lou have two adopted children, Sara and David.
